Pure Evil
A downloadable game
This is an improvisational horror game where players take on the role of Victims running from a murderous Slasher. Meant to emulate films like Friday the 13th, Halloween, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Pure Evil seeks to guide you in designing a unique villain as the game plays out via collaborative storytelling. Most of the time you will play as one of the Victims, running for your life from the horror that has been unleashed upon you until you die. At that point you will have a turn taking control of the Slasher and making moves against the rest of the group.
You play by a combination of drawing from a deck of playing cards and rolling dice to resolve actions. As the Victims draw cards, they be in mortal danger. If you were lucky, these cards will reveal Aspects, Backstory, and Weaknesses of the Slasher which are crucial components to defeat the killer in the end. Don’t get too attached to your Victim. They will die, and you will likely play as multiple Victims throughout a single game.
This game includes:
- A full-color 33 page rulebook that guides you through setup and gameplay
- A printable Slasher Reference Sheet with all the Slasher's abilities and a place to track Slasher Aspects
- A printable Victim Reference Sheet with all the Victim Moves
You will need:
- 3-5 players
- A deck of cards
- At least two six-sided dice
- Materials for taking notes and keeping track of stats
